Our site is still under construction! Looking to help us build our community?
Our goal at Future Oncologist Network is to create a community for medical students and residents who are interested in pursuing a career in oncology and are looking for resources and mentorship.
I've known I was interested in oncology for a while and had the benefit of having a long time mentor who was an oncologist to pave the way for me, but I recognize that that's not something that most people have access too. Since oncology is a subspecialty, a lot of times students don't get great exposure throughout medical school or only see the sickest of the sick while they are inpatient with severe complications.
I'm hoping to create a community that highlights all the hope and aspirations of the field while also showing all the diversity and opportunities for future careers within oncology. I hope the network will help broaden student and resident exposure to oncology and it’s breadth as well as provide guidance and inspiration for aspiring oncologists.
